Make snacks that pack a nutritious punch.

  • Make food more fun.

Living a plant-based lifestyle doesn't mean you have to eat salad all the time. You'll learn how to make snacks that pack a powerful punch of flavor while keeping it healthy!

  • Low and slow is the way to go.

When you cook at a low and slow temperature, your food maintains all the important enzymes and nutritional integrity that makes raw food preparation so amazing.

  • Keep it conscious.

With snacks like these you know what you're eating! You'll use ingredients that you can pronounce and keep out the preservatives and unnecessary additives that come with store-bought snacks.

What you need for this class

A desire to dive into dehydrating.
A hankering for homemade kale chips.
A few power tools.

Blender:  A high powered blender like a Vitamix is an amazing addition to the raw kitchen. The personal sized nutritional bullets are an excellent alternative to a Vitamix. It works just as well, on a smaller scale.

Food Processor: For me a food processor to me is an invaluable tool of the raw food trade. There are even mini versions available that work wonderfully for small batches.

DehydratorAt The Healing Cuisine we prefer a square to round dehydrator. Square dehydrators have more room and we can make the items any shape that we like. Be sure that they have removable trays with removable screen to prevent your fruits and veggies from falling through. Be sure to have a dehydrator sheet for every dehydrator tray.

Dehydator Sheets: These are important for many dehydrator recipes, especially items that are marinated or start out in a liquid form. When you order your dehydrator be sure to order the Teflon dehydrator sheets or purchase a roll out reusable non-stick baking sheet that you can cut to size.

If you don’t have any of these, but you’re looking to make changes to your life via what you eat, this is the perfect time to invest in these power tools.
